U.S. authorities may increase tax burden on miners

The U.S. ranks first in the world in terms of bitcoin capacity. However, due to energy and environmental risks, the authorities of some U.S. states have begun to limit the capacity of cryptocurrency mining companies.
In November, the New York government banned mining using non-environmental energy sources. The White House is trying to convince Congress to impose a special tax of 30% on crypto-mining.
Funds received by the authorities in the form of such a fee will be used to combat climate change. And the new tax could be introduced as early as next year, according to Yahoo News.
