Tether gives up commercial paper to secure USDT

The issuer of the largest stabelcoin Tether announced the completion of the redistribution of its portfolio of assets used to secure the USDT coin. The company has almost completely removed capital from commercial paper and transferred it to U.S. Treasury bonds.
And in the near future Tether plans to significantly increase its reserves in government securities. The capital will be transferred to such instruments from promissory notes, the maturities of which are coming to an end.
The developer of the USDT said that he chose treasury bonds, because this asset can be seen as the safest in a difficult financial environment.
