SEC head advises U.S. soldiers not to invest in bitcoin

Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Gary Gensler believes that U.S. authorities should protect citizens investing in digital currencies.
He urged U.S. troops not to buy bitcoin and other virtual currencies. Such instruments could collapse at any time, and their holders would suffer losses, Gensler wrote on Twitter.
He also acknowledged U.S. soldiers’ growing interest in cryptocurrencies, though he considers the blockchain industry “the Wild West.”
