Sanctions pressure on some states, including Russia, has led to increased demand for bitcoin and other digital currencies.
They have increased in value, but in fundamental terms their status has not improved. Therefore, cryptocurrencies will soon resume their retreat, predicts Mikhail Dorofeev, associate professor of the Department of Public Finance at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
According to this expert, bitcoin will fall in price, while the U.S. dollar, on the contrary, will be able to strengthen. Together with digital currencies, shares of IT companies and precious metals will suffer losses.
