Miners paid just over $7 million to Kazakhstan’s budget in 2022

Kazakhstan’s budget received more than $7 million (3.07 billion tenge) in tax revenues from the miners.
Local journalists found out that cryptocurrency mining companies started fulfilling their fiscal obligations to the state in 2022 in accordance with the government’s decision to legalize the industry.
Since the beginning of 2023, taxes from miners amounted to approximately 240 million tenge (just over $541,000).
