The CoinCorner and Bitnob partnership plans to use the Lightning network to facilitate the sending of funds from Africa to the European Union.
The developers decided to contribute to the global bitcoin infrastructure, despite the dominant bearish sentiment in the industry. With the help of such a “bridge” it is planned to carry out fast transfers involving several fiat currencies.
At the moment the lion’s share of transactions between Africa and the EU is handled by the Western Union payment system. At the same time, the demand for sending funds with minimal transaction costs is constantly growing.
