Indonesian authorities plan to launch a national crypto exchange

Indonesia will create a regulated national cryptocurrency exchange in 2023. The creation of a platform for transactions with digital assets is part of the government’s ambitious project to reform the financial sector.
As the head of the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency, Didid Nordiatmoko, noted, the modernization of the state’s financial infrastructure began in December 2022.
The cryptocurrency exchange project is supported by many agencies, including the Ministry of Commerce and the Indonesian Ministry of Finance. Within the next two years, the Financial Services Authority (FSA) will have full authority to control the cryptocurrency market.
