Glassnode analysts have recorded an increase in the number of bitcoins under the control of long-term investors. Hodlers continue to buy the cryptocurrency and have built up their reserves to 14.859 million BTC.
Addresses holding bitcoins for more than five months accumulated 76.1% of the total supply of the digital currency.
Hoarders, on average, buy up to 50,000 BTC each month. According to analysts, investors are preparing for the halving of 2024. Miners’ remuneration will halve from 6.25 to 3.125 BTC in April.
