Cryptocompanies laid off nearly 3,000 employees in January

The rise in bitcoin in January 2023 did not help cryptocurrency companies improve their financial performance. They continued to downsize due to falling revenues, Bloomberg reported.
14 companies laid off about 2,900 employees as of the end of the month. It was recently reported that blockchain infrastructure developer Prime Trust said goodbye to about 30% of its staff.
The platform Matrixport previously fired more than 30 managers, and the exchange Gemini reduced the number of staff at once by 100 people.
