China Central Bank promises confidentiality of digital yuan transactions

According to the People’s Bank of China, the amount of transactions with the digital yuan (CBDC) has already exceeded $14 billion at the testing stage.
The head of the Central Bank Yi Gang said the day before that the regulator has an important task to ensure the confidentiality of transactions with the token. At the same time, the government must have the tools to monitor such transactions to ensure their transparency and prevent the criminal use of CBDC.
The chairman of the People’s Bank reminded that many states are developing national digital currencies, with China leading the way.
